職務内容 【KEY MISSIONS】
◆Overall responsibility for valuation, reserving and solvency
◆Budgeting and profitability review
◆Reporting to FSA and to the Group
◆Reinsurance

【SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES】
◆Valuation and reserving
・Responsibility of CALJ reserving policy、in line with Group principles
・Overall responsibility for valuation and reserving (JGAAP, IFRS 17)
・Overall responsibility for solvency calculation and solvency forecast (including management of the transition to the new Japanese economic solvency)
・Overall responsibility for data management in the actuary scope and liaising with other departments (Operation, accounting, risks) for data flows (in and out)
◆Budgeting
・To contribute to the (3-year) annual budget preparation based on premium income assumptions delivered by sales teams, as well as other strategic medium term plans when required, working closely with product actuary team
・To incorporate the Experience study process in the budgeting
・To produce regular estimates against budget, and analyze differences between actual and budget, in particular the loss ratio for the GCL business
・Calculation of profitability by banks
◆Reinsurance
・Responsibility for the implementation of reinsurance policy, in line with Group principles
・Regular settlement
・GCL related treaties negotiation and renewal/amendment, including CAT
・Participation to related committees for reporting and approval and preparing board approval and reporting when required
◆Reporting
・Reporting to FSA: (policy reserve, regular reports and contribution to regulatory disclosures)
・Reporting to Group: monthly reports, revised estimates
・Supporting Risk department and Chief Actuary for the preparation of ORSA and regular reports to Risk business line
◆Monitoring
・Preparation and participation to the Technical Committee (chaired by CFO)
・Liability portfolio monitoring, in close relationship with Product actuarial team
・Validating outputs from Product actuarial team
◆Modelling
・Responsibility of implementing the model governance of the company (definition and application) and reporting regularly to Chief actuary about model risk assessment
・Development and maintenance of reserving and solvency models and tools : regular update (technical documentation, methods, data and assumptions), ensure the adequacy of the models by conducting performance measurements of those models.
◆Management responsibility
・Being responsible for the management of the valuation actuary team, and together with the CFO the Officer in charge of actuary/product actuary, the management of outsourcing activities (such as Milliman) when external support is required
・Participating to relevant committees (including Senior management committee, Technical Committee, New product and activity (“NAP”) Committee, Asset Liability Committee)
・Contributing to transversal projects such as data governance/data management, regulatory projects (IFRS17, new Japanese economic solvency) as well as company DX and related IT projects

最終学歴:四年制大学卒以上
【Education and skills】
◆Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Sciences, Economics, or Insurance,
◆Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Japan
◆Fluent written English and adequate spoken English,
◆Computer skills, including MS Office tools (Excel, Access) and programming (VBA or other widely used language), actuarial software (such as Prophet, MoSes, VIP, or MG-ALFA), in particular, experience on analyzing actuarial / financial model programming and modifying and optimizing to meet regulatory / internal restrictions and strategic objectives on profitability / risk / marketing etc. and taking leadership to achieve with team including coaching layman actuary (accustomed to “Hands-on” approach),

【Experience】
◆10+ years of experience as an actuary in an insurance companies, consulting firms and accounting firms, including experience in product development
◆Knowledge of Savings & Protection Insurance business features, individual and collective insurance
◆General knowledge of economics and finance, insurance and insurance market regulation.
