| 職務内容 | ◆Overview We are currently undergoing several major transitions: ・Moving to a globalized organization from largely Japan focused organization ・Insourcing of key skills to ensure that IT becomes a part of the core competitive advantage of the company ・Changing operating model from a developer led IT strategy to a more cross functional strategy ・Integration of Japan centric on premise systems to hybrid cloud based global solutions. Overall the objectives are to move to a simpler model by using more standardized IT to allow innovations to be better propagated through the business functions. But while that simplicity should allow our company to respond more quickly – and less expensively – to changing business needs, bringing together these services for supporting business capabilities requires that these solutions are well integrated and understood, secure, reliable, and highly available and perform well. It also requires that these solutions align with the overall enterprise architecture to lower cost and avoid complexity. ◆Role Value Proposition We are increasing adopting modern technologies like software defined infrastructure, hybrid cloud geographically distributed platform and automation of deployment, capacity management and operations. A combined team with different technical disciplines is better prepared to ensure we can take full advantage of the possibilities. The automation engineer sees value in reducing the amount of manual operations to foster greater productivity. The Platform Automation Engineer will be working side-by-side in a bilingual environment with the application, engineering and IT operations teams. •Responsible for system builds, operationalization and automation of the entire infrastructure stack. •Ensure build and operational designs of a system is consistent with the requirements and goals set for a given system. •Demonstrates how new systems meet infrastructure requirements •Ensures systems are correctly handed over to infrastructure operations team including training of operational team •Responsible for automating processes including provisioning, regression testing and operations with new systems •Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure builds and operations through better use of available technology •Build and operationalization of new technology platforms ◆Key Relationships Reports directly to the Platform Solutions Office Manager who is under the Infrastructure Solutions Engineering Department Manager Reporting may include vendor and contractor staff contributions and project status Other key stakeholders: Infrastructure Teams. Operations Teams, Application Developers, IT Architecture Office ◆General Responsibilities Ensure that technical solutions meets requirements defined by plan designs, application designs and operational requirements Design and build automation standards for technical deliverables that ensure design, application and operational stakeholders have provided necessary input Plan, implement, and maintain the strategy to ensure full automated testing of applications, API’s, infrastructure and frameworks as part of a continuous integration and agile environment. Define test plans, test cases, and test data to be used for both automated and manual testing. Develop high quality automated tests to support development and ensure high quality software. Define Functional Automation Coverage Map, ensuring visibility to all the stakeholders and members of the each Team. Work with other quality team members on test automation strategies across the product stack. Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and utilize the internal defect tracking tool to create detailed, high quality defect reports. Proactively identify & share new automation tools/processes/approaches to create, maintain and improve the infrastructure and software lifecycle. Produce status reports related to the testing process, including test results and defect tracking/prioritization. Work with cross-team product owners, developers and other test engineers to support the current processes. Leverage proven industry standards to automate key portions of the application, middleware and infrastructure stack Define clear and understandable solutions which cover build, operationalization and describe how systems will function within operational environment Document each solution in detail in addition to articulating how a given solution will meet functional and non-functional requirements |

| ◆Position Requirements ・Business Level English and Japanese ・Complete understanding of automation, deployment and configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Powershell, UrbanCode, etc.. ・Understanding of the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test, and deploy ・Software container technologies such as Docker and Docker Swarm ・Experience in cloud computing design, configuration and implementation in Microsoft Azure ・Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services ・Knowledge of virtualization technology and methods (VMware, Citrix) ・Ability to navigate and document complex project lifecycle processes ◆EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE ・4-year degree in IT related course of study, preferred ・5+ years of relevant experience with virtualization and automation technologies. ・Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in cloud solutions Personal Attributes ・Outgoing, confident public speaker, not afraid to challenge the status quo |
